Alors qu'il n'est qu'un enfant, Afro Samurai assiste à la mort de son père dans un duel qui l'oppose au mystérieux "Justice". Vivant dans un univers extrêmement violent, Afro ne souhaite que se venger, transformant sa route en bain de sang. Le samurai noir va rencontrer sur son chemin quantité d'ennemis et de défis qu'il va devoir relever.
